Step inside, and you’ll immediately sense the charm of a no-frills, genuine brick oven pizzeria. The dining area is intentionally simple, featuring small wooden tables and chairs that invite you to focus on what truly matters: the pizza. The atmosphere is unpretentious yet brimming with character, making it clear you’re about to taste something special.
DeLucia's menu reads like a comprehensive guide to pizza perfection. From their signature Large Cheese and Large Pepperoni Pizzas to innovative specialties like the Eggplant Parm Pizza and Buffalo Chicken Pizza, each pie is carefully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Large Margarita Pizza topped with savory sausage and the iconic NJ Fresh Tomato Pie showcase the pizzeria’s skill at balancing classic flavors. Intriguing options like the Upside Down Pie and hearty Calzones round out the menu, ensuring there’s something to satisfy every craving.
What truly sets DeLucia’s apart is the impeccable crust—sturdy yet tender, with that sought-after leopard spotting that pizza aficionados crave. It’s a crust with personality, holding toppings without slipping into “flop” territory. And speaking of toppings: generous portions of savory sausage, meatballs, spicy jalapenos, and fresh vegetables like spinach and tomato slices crown each pie, while specialty toppings such as bacon and pineapple add delightful surprises.
Many guests rave about the balance of flavors and the freshness of the cheese and sauce. The pepperoni slices deliver a satisfying snap, while specialty creations—like the Meatball Parm Pizza layered with provolone and mozzarella—offer a rich, comforting depth that lingers on the palate.
Customer experiences underscore the pizzeria’s dedication to quality and community. Louis Esposito shared his anticipation after hearing about DeLucia’s stellar 9.4 rating from David Portnoy and wasn’t disappointed—praising the friendly staff and fair pricing despite the wait. Another enthusiastic reviewer, Hidden Gem, confessed that having sampled pizzas from top places nationwide, DeLucia’s stood out for its perfect crust and perfectly balanced cheese and sauce. John Moore captures the essence succinctly: an excellent, unpretentious pizza spot supported by loyal customers and an experienced, welcoming team.
For those patient enough to wait, the reward is a slice of pizza nirvana. Trucker684955 highlights the world-famous reputation with a hearty thumbs-up to the sausage pizza, noting the history and the “amazing” staff. Cindi Patterson’s experience emphasizes the pizzeria’s efficiency and convenience, praising the quick turnaround for big orders, as well as the frozen calzones that make for perfect easy meals later on. This blend of quality, tradition, and thoughtful service creates a lasting impression.

It’s not just a meal; it’s a celebration of pizza done exceptionally well.
I've been trying to get here since David Portnoy's 9.4 rating. The pizza was great, the staff worker at the order window was very nice. The dining area was very simple, small wooden tables and chairs. I walked in at 11:45am to order, and was told it would be ready at 12:30pm, it is what it is. The prices were very fair. You get a feeling that you're in a famous eatery, which you are. The pizza made my top five, but not my favorite.
The pizza absolutely lives up to the hype. I’ve tried pies from many of the top spots across the country, and this one stood out the moment I took my first bite. The cheese and sauce are outstanding, and the crust is perfect — sturdy with no flop and just the right amount of leopard spotting. I’d been in the area a few times before but could never get one since they were either sold out or closed. This time the wait was completely worth it, and I’m already looking forward to going back.
Great little local business dealing with high demand. Excellent east coast style pizza. Unpretentious. Low key. Loyal customers. Experienced staff. Plan your visit to avoid disappointment.
Finally was back in the area to try the world famous pizza. It definitely lived up to the hype. Thankfully it was only a 45-minute wait for a few pies. But it was definitely worth it. Staff is amazing. The history of the pizzeria is just so cool. Oh and did I tell you the pizza is absolutely amazing. Especially the sausage. You definitely need to try it.
Opened promptly at 1130a and there were approx 8 people on line before me. Large pie, salad, 2 frozen calzones for take away - with tip approx $55. Prompt 25min wait for the pie.Still had about an hour drive home. Pizza reheated perfectly! Delicious. Frozen calzones were easy the following week when you need a quick dinner/snack and easily serve 1-2 people.
I flew 900mi to finally try this place. It was hyped to the moon. For me it was worth it! If you’ve seen the videos and think it’s the kind of pizza you like then it’s the best version. No flop. Tasty cheese. Perfect crust. I got a meatball. Zero complaints. Cooked perfectly how I like it. Well done. One thing I got lucky on was the order time. Account for 1-2hrs minimum before close to get a pizza. I didn’t order ahead and just barely got my pie before close. Everyone was nice all the customers and workers. Whole town is charming really enjoyed my stay. Wish I lived closer would visit 25-30times a year.
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I had incredibly high expectations and I was not disappointed. Pizza was crisp, chewy, good cheese and sauce. The crust and how it’s cooked really makes this pizza exceptional. Fast and Friendly service. I Arrived at 1100 on a Wednesday. I was First in line and the pizzas took 15 minutes.
